There are several different types of roulette bets which can be placed on the ordinary bet area on the table. Each bet covers a different set of numbers and has a different distribution.

Description |
| Straight up |
A chip can be wagered on any individual number, including zero (0). The chip is placed directly on the individual number. |
| Split bet |
A chip can be wagered on any two adjacent numbers, by placing the chip on the line dividing the two numbers. Note that a chip can also be placed on the line dividing zero (0) and 1, 2 and 3. |
| Street bet |
Street bets cover three numbers. The chip is placed on the outer boundary line of the roulette table, next to the corresponding row of three numbers. Note that street bets can also be placed on 0,1 and 2; 0, 2 and 3. |
| Corner bet |
Corner bets cover four numbers. The chip is placed on the cross where the four numbers intersect. You may also wager on 0, 1, 2 and 3 by placing the chip on the upper right boundary line of the roulette table between 0 and 3. |
| Line bet |
A line bet covers two street bets i.e. six different numbers in two rows of three numbers. The chip is placed on the outer boundary line of the roulette table, where it is intersected by the line dividing the two rows. |

| Column bet |
On the short side of the roulette table there are three unmarked boxes. By placing your chip in one of these boxes, you mark all twelve numbers above it (excluding 0). |
| Dozen bet |
You can bet on a group of twelve numbers by placing your chip in one of the three boxes marked P12 (equivalent to 1st 12), M12 (equivalent to 2nd 12) and D12 (equivalent to 3rd 12). |
| Red/Black, Even/Odd and Low/High Bets |
A bet placed in one of these boxes covers half of the roulette table numbers (excluding 0). Each box covers 18 numbers. Red/Black - place bet in box with red or black symbol. Even/Odd - place bet in box marked PAIR (even) or IMPAIR (odd). Low/High - place bet in box marked MANQUE (1-18) or PASSE (19-36). |
