  • Aim Of The Game

Two hands are dealt in baccarat - the banker's hand and the player's hand. Prior to each deal, the player wagers on whether the Player's hand or the Banker's hand is closest to a total of 9. The player also has the option to wager on a tie (i.e. both the banker's and player's hands total the same).

  • How To Play

Your chips are stacked by denomination (£1, £5, £25, £100, £500) at the bottom of the screen. Select the amount you would like to wager on a given hand by clicking the left mouse button on the chip of that denomination. The amount wagered per hand may be increased or decreased by placing the mouse on the stack that you wish to add or subtract to your bet and clicking with either the left or right mouse button. Each time you click the left mouse button you will add a chip from that pile to your planned wager amount. Similarly, by clicking on the right mouse button you will decrease your planned wager by the selected chip denomination. Your total bet will be displayed in the Bet field. You may repeat your last bet by simply hitting the 0 button of your numeric keyboard. Other keyboard shortcuts are summarised below.

There are three types of bets a player may wager on - the Player's hand, the Banker's hand, or the Tie bet. A combination of these bets can also be made. Place your wagered amount by clicking with the left mouse button on the baccarat table in the Player's field, the Banker's field, the Tie field (any number above the Banker's field), or any combination of these within the betting limits. You start the round by pressing the Deal button.

After the Deal button is pressed, the Player and Banker are dealt two cards. All tens and picture cards are worth zero, aces are worth 1, and all other cards are worth their face value. If the value of cards exceeds 9, then the value is adjusted by subtracting 10 from the total.

    Example :

    HandHand Total
    9 + 7 = 166
    5 + 5 + 5 = 155
    10 + 9 = 19Natural 9

After the first two cards are dealt to both the Player and Dealer, a third additional card may be dealt but the player does not ask for a third card. All additional cards are subject to a third card rule. No hand receives more than three cards. When the Player and Banker hands equal the same total, the hand is declared a Tie. If the value of the cards in either the Player's Hand or the Banker's Hand is an 8 or a 9 (a natural) after receiving their initial two cards then no more cards shall be dealt to either hand. If the value of the cards in the Banker's Hand on the first two cards is 0 to 7 inclusive, the Player's hand shall draw in accordance with the Third Card Rules.

    Third Card Rules :

If the Player's two cards total :

    HandDraw?
0 to 5Player's hand must draw
6 to 7Player's hand must stand

After the Player's Hand acts on a third card draw, the Banker's Hand receives a third card according to these rules :

    Banker's HandDraw?
0 to 2Banker's hand must draw
3 to 6Third card to Player's hand determines draw or stand
    7Banker's hand must stand

When the Banker's two cards total between 3-6 :

    Banker's HandBanker's Hand Draws
When Player's Third Card Is :
    Banker's Hand Does Not Draw
When Player's Third Card Is :
    30 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 98
    42 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 70 - 1 - 8 - 9

7Banker's hand must standBanker's hand must stand

If the Player's hand stands on two cards, then a two card Banker hand totalling 3,4,5 must draw and a Banker hand totalling 6 must stand.
